A little about me:
I’ve been in Aus 5.5 years now and it very quickly felt like home. I’m currently working on getting residency, and I’ve been very lucky to meet some amazing mates and my girlfriend here in Byron Bay.
I used to work in investment banking back in the UK, and it just wasn’t the life for me! So after travelling some of Asia on a quest to find myself, I ended up here in search of a more relaxed lifestyle.
My hobbies are:
I live to surf, all year round. When the perfect wave hits there’s no feeling like it. I also love to Ski, which is still possible here in Australia! And apart from that just spending time with my mates at the beach.
Favourite spot in Australia:
The National Parks up the East Coast. They’re stunning, and no one's ever there! You can just take your campervan up there and chill. One that stands out is the Glass House Mountain. One of Queensland’s most iconic natural landmarks, these mountains offer insane scenery. Located just an hour’s drive north of Brisbane, this is a must-visit for nature lovers, hikers, photographers, and all campervan travellers.
Backpacking tips:
Freedom and flexibility is the best way. You never know who you might meet on the way or what new places you might discover, so it’s great to stay flexible so you can go with the flow! For example I met my colleague James and I dragged him to Byron with me.
