A little about me:
I moved to Aus in October 23, travelled Australia and NZ for 4 months in a campervan, and then settled here in Byron. As most Brits do, I moved here as I was bored of the UK weather, and so far Byron hasn’t failed to fix that for me.
Everyone in the office knows me as the gluten free one…but I recently started drinking Guinness again! So we’ll see how that goes. I’ve also recently grown a moustache, which is without a doubt an attempt to look more Australian.
My hobbies are:
I’m another golfer here in the office! Getting up early in Byron to hit some balls at the local course gives me life. We often see Koalas and Wallabies on the golf course too, which makes it slightly different from my golf course back home.
Favourite spot in Australia:
Byron Bay all day. The surf is great, there’s plenty of bars and the vibe is so relaxed. It's perfect for a holiday or to live here. I also love that it's near so many other places to visit; Brisbane, Gold Coast, and all the National Parks. If you’re in the area make sure you head to Springbrook National Park, you can stay at The Settlement Camping Area in your Campervan or Motorhome and visit the Natural Bridge glow worms at night!
Backpacking tips:
Take a suitcase not a backpack! Your back will thank you during those long journeys and waiting at airports and bus stops. You can also buy more souvenirs then.
