I am so happy I came across RatPack Travel! I found them after a quick google search looking for camper van rentals for my 2-week New Zealand trip. I requested a quote and contacted them via WhatsApp, and Gregg is the representative who helped me. He responded so quickly and gave me a call to better understand what my travel plans are, what my needs are, and then provided me with options to consider. He shared his own experiences using the camper vans, so it made me feel that much better about the van I went with, because there’s tons of options out there, and it would’ve taken me a full day just to research them all! I didn’t feel pressured whatsoever to make a decision on the spot, although I did end up choosing fairly quickly, because I felt Gregg was genuine and really did give me all the info I needed to make an informed decision. He even got me a discounted rate, since they have contracts with many of these van rental companies, so they’re able to get deals for bringing them business. When I contacted Ratpack travel 2 days ago, all I wanted were some prices for a 2 week camper van rental in NZ. SIM called with some information and options and was very friendly and open. He knew I still needed to confirm dates and look at other companies and said we’d talk the next day or so. About 10 minutes later, Sammy (Mgr) called to see if he could offer more info to help us make an informed decision. I’m someone who always compares prices and inventory with numerous companies but by the end of our conversation, Sammy had a perfect unit for us available and ready to book. Now these guys are either master salespeople or just darn happy, friendly, go the extra mile type people who love what they do. Like others have said, they seem almost too good to be true and feel like you’re talking to a friend. I booked a van even though I hadn’t done my research yet. Reuben called so promptly, the service was absolutely spectacular. The recommendations he provided were unbelievably cheap compared to the fairly extensive amount of market research that I had done myself. I was at the point where I was pretty stumped on who to go with and I went from being confused and disheartened to excited and able to make a decision within an hour. I’ve just used RatPack travel to book a small 2 person camper van for next year to tour the Australian outback. It will be my first visit to Oz so know very little about what to expect.
