Great Barrier Reef
You can’t really visit Australia and not tick the Great Barrier Reef odd your Aussie bucket list – it’s THE dream destination right!?
Passions of Paradise catamaran day trip to the reef is an epic way to experience all of its glory. Snorkel equipment and food is included plus, you have the option to have a go at scuba diving if you’re keen! Expect to see unreal marine life on the reef and you might even get lucky and see turtles and non people eating sharks!
Sky Dive with a Beach Landing
Calling all adrenaline junkies – did you hear, Mission Beach is the place to be if you’re keen to sky dive as you land on the beach! Think Mission Impossible – Aussie styleee!
If you’re gonna brave it, do it in style at Mission Beach – taking the dive at 15,000 ft, above the Great Barrier Reef, now that’s a sick story to tell for the rest of your life!
Magnetic Island Escape
A less familiar spot, but none the less an absolute MUST to add to your Aussie itinerary.
Staying on Maggie Island – just off the coast of Townsville – is like staying on some tropical island in the middle of the ocean. There’s wild koalas, wallabies come out at sunset, epic walks, 360 views…the place has it all.
Base is a legendary sociable and fun hostel – it hosts boozy bingo bingo nights, bar wars and themed Thursdays and is one of our fave hostels on the east coast for many reasons. If you fancy something a little more chilled, they run free walking tours and free yoga classes.
Whitsundays Sailing trip
The Whitsundays >> what a beaaaaaaaauty! We love abit of Whitehaven Beach & The New Horizon sailing boat visits both Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet and is the perfect balance between chilled and party vibe…
So, if snorkelling and lounging on white sandy beaches during the day and partying hard at night sounds like your kind of thing, this is the option for you.

I had a call with Ryan who was super nice, knowledgable and made me feel really at ease with making my decision. He asked me all about what I want to do and achieve on my trip, although I didn’t really want to pack too much in… nor gave much detail on what I want to do, he gave options and ideas for me to look into. He used his own experience as an example which was really helpful to hear and made me feel like I’m right at home with RatPack, I knew then I was making the right choice by talking to him. He answered any questions I had, even if they seemed like silly questions to ask. The booking process is really easy and straight forward, they do all the hard parts for you. Once Ryan talked me through my options, I made my selection and all I had to do was enter my card details for the deposit and I was done! Thanks to Ryan’s detailed and calm approach I knew I was booking with the right company/team. I can’t wait for the next step!!
George has been amazing. He put together the costings for our trip, and then I changed the dates completely and he redid everything and said it wasn’t a problem. I felt that he worked hard to get me the best deal, advised me which pickup town was the best deal, when was the best time to travel, and how I could save money by adding a day to our trip (yes, it was cheaper to go for 21 days than go for 20!). George sent through mountains of advice on travel destinations, camping sites etc. I would definitely recommend RatPack Travel and George.
