One of our fave places to get on a roadie – the epic Fraser Island, the home of the dingo, beach driving, natural lakes and pure remote life vibes. Here you can:
- Drive a 4wd along the beach
- Swim in natural lakes (without worrying about sharks!)
- Camp under the stars
- Spot unreal wildlife
There’s no such thing as roads on Fraser and you’ll be swapping the rainy dual carriageways of home for the 75 mile beach highway and will be driving along the beach and tracks through the forest, it’s an experience like no other and this will certainly get your adrenaline going.
The island is super remote and very few people actually live here, there’s incredible wildlife to see, look out for the island’s resident dingos, snakes, spiders, goanas and whales (during the migration season).

Paradise is ready for ya!
To get to Fraser Island you’ll need to jump on one of the many tours that are on offer! The guys over at Dropbear are doing EPIC things, and we love ‘em, why do we love them?

Camp under the stars...
Yep thats right!
You’ll be camping in the epic Dropbear campsite which is right by the beach. This is the ultimate camp set up and these guys have got it nailed when it comes to camping.
Not only is there an awesome common area, showers and loos but the tents are already set up and all your bedding is sorted.
Now imagine hanging out round a campfire looking at the amazing stars (there is so little light pollution here you’ll see stars like never before) and then watching the sunrise from the beach. Dream right?
OH and did we mention you can upgrade your tent to a more ‘glamping’ experience with a bed, more space and fairylights? Give us a shout if this sounds like a bit of you!

On the 2D1N tour you’ll be staying in camping accomodation right by the beach, the crew will cook up epic dinners for you and will provide entertainment around the campfire in the evening under the stars >> thats what we are talking about yewwwwwww.
