You may be thinking, well duh you can see the Great Barrier Reef if you go diving or snorkelling in Cairns and in saying this, you’d be partly right but also partly surprised to know that we’re about to give you a few other ways to see this natural beauty!

We’ll be letting you know all about:

  • How to scuba dive on the Reef, even if you’ve never dived before!
  • What type of marine life to expect
  • How to combine adrenalin and the reef
  • How to head on a helicopter over the reef, backpacker style

Ready to find out the different ways you can experience one of Aussie’s most EPIC spots?

Scuba dive or snorkel

Whether you’re a keen snorkeler or a certified diver, the Down Under reef trip is perfect for all abilities.

They offer guided reef tours, intro dives and have all the kit on board, so all you have to do is show up in the morning and you’re GOLDEN!

You do not need any prior diving experience to attend this tour, just jump straight on in and enjoy the view.

Plus, if you opt for the Down Under tour, you will get the opportunity to hop in a helicopter and see the reef from above – but more on that later…

Catemeran Day Trip

Want to make the most of every single millisecond of being at one of the seven wonders of the world? Stupid question really – of course you do. The best way to do so is hop on a day tour and cruise around the reef allll day long.

The Passions of Paradise tour takes you out to the reef on a sailing catamaran – how cool is that!

Once you’ve cruised out, your day will then consist of sick diving spots, incredible views, fun, bants, education and some banging food.

Get your PADI Certificate

What better place to get your PADI open water certificate than at the Great Barrier Reef – now that’s a story to tell your mates when you get home.

This Pro Dive tour is suitable for those who have never learnt to dive before and want to gain a PADI open water qualification.

You’ll have an experience like no other. After the 2 days spend in the classroom and in the pool doing all of your training, you’ll then head out onto the reef where you’ll spend 3 days and 2 nights living and diving on the Great Barrier Reef! Sounds amazing right!

Scenic Flight by Helicopter

Ok, gonna get a bit boujiee on you now – you ready…It is possible to book a heli tour over the GBR! Sick right!?

After a day of snorkelling on the reef below, take to the skies and take in the sites from a brand new angle! Pure bucket list material this!
